Travel Sabbatical (Mike and Akiko): Round-the-world ticket, 8 months, 20 countries, a backpack....Travel has always been our hobby, but recently, seeing close friends’ and family’s lives end too soon has been clarifying. Instead of waiting to find out what “might have been”, we decided to make our round-the-world trip a reality. Although we think we will miss our secure and comfortable lives, we are looking foward to downsizing our over-scheduled lives into a backpack and make way for opportunities not yet discovered.
